Skin Photorejuvenation
Frequent Asked Questions Page 2
- Are there side effects?
- It’s unlikely that you’ll develop any significant side effects. Temporary flushing and mild swelling is common. Rarely flaking, blistering, or pigmentation changes occur and these are usually temporary. You will notice more significant flaking or blistering with PDT treatments. Very rarely do pigmentation changes occur, those that do, usually resolve. Your consultation will include a more thorough information on potential side effects.
- When will I start to see results?
- Because Photorejuvenation is non-ablative, patients begin to notice improvment after a few treatments to deliver incremental improvement in tone, texture and tightening. Nevertheless, many patients notice clearance of brown spots after just a few treatments, whereas textural improvements such as softening wrinkles or acne scars may take a few months to become noticeable.
